How It Works

How our roof insurance claim process works.

We've guided homeowners through the full insurance restoration process — from the first photo to the final shingle.

01

Free Inspection

We get on the roof, assess visible damage, and document conditions with photos and measurements — no charge, no obligation.

02

Damage Report

We compile a detailed report of what we found — the documented evidence your claim needs to be taken seriously by your insurance company.

03

Claim Guidance

We walk you through what your claim should include and what to expect from the process, so you understand your coverage before you commit to filing.

04

Adjuster Meeting

We're on the roof the day your adjuster visits. We point out covered items, provide our documentation, and make sure the scope reflects what we found.

05

Approval & Install

Once the claim is approved, we schedule the installation. You pay your deductible — your insurance covers the rest of your new roof.

What You Pay

On a covered claim, you pay one thing.

Your deductible. That's it. Your insurance company covers the full roof replacement — materials, installation, and cleanup. We handle everything else from first inspection to final walkthrough.

Financing options available — for the deductible or out-of-pocket repairs.

Common Questions

Common roof insurance claim questions.

Will filing a claim raise my insurance rates?

A fair concern. Storm and weather damage claims are typically classified as no-fault events, and many policies don't increase rates for a first weather claim. That said, every policy and insurer is different. We recommend asking your agent before filing — and we're happy to help you think through whether a claim makes sense for your situation first.

What if my claim gets denied?

It happens — and it's not always the end of the road. If your claim is denied, we go over the adjuster's findings with you, explain what was cited, and help you understand whether there's a basis to appeal. We don't walk away at denial.

Do I need a public adjuster?

A public adjuster is a licensed professional you hire to negotiate your claim independently. We're your roofing contractor — not a public adjuster — but we do show up on-site for the adjuster inspection, document damage thoroughly, and advocate for a fair assessment. For most straightforward claims, that's all that's needed. If a claim is complex or contested, a public adjuster may be worth exploring.

How long does the process take?

The free inspection is typically scheduled within a few days of your call. Filing the claim and scheduling the adjuster's visit depends on your insurance company — usually one to three weeks. Once approved, we schedule installation around weather and your availability. Most residential roofs are completed in one to two days.
